Manila. Philippine Nov. 17 (CNA) Taiwan and the Philippines signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the field of intellectual property protection Saturday at the end of a two-day bilateral economic conference in Manila. Republic of China Minister of Economic Affairs Steve Chen signed the MOU on behalf of his government with his Philippine counterpart. Peter Favila under which both sides promise to cooperate with each other in intellectual property rights protection and exchanges of information and personnel. Chen told the CNA that both sides had raised many issues during the conference which reflects the wide range of cooperation between Taipei and Manila. Knowing that Taiwan enjoys many strengths in the field of information technology the Philippine side asked for Taiwan's help in training integrated circuit designers and in encouraging Taiwan high-tech companies to invest in the Philippines. In addition to investing in Subic Bay freeport zone which is already astronghold of Taiwan companies operating in the Philippines. Chen said the Philippine side also asked Taiwan businesses to set up factories at the Clark Special Zone located north of Manila. In request to attract Taiwan businesses. Chen said the Philippine side agreed to give Taiwan high-tech companies investing in the country tax breaks for between six and eight years. The Philippines also agree to offer Taiwan companies' executives and professional cater 90-day visas in addition to work permits according to Chen.
It’s a common problem. Someone gets a direct of your personal information and suddenly you find yourself a victim of identity theft. Like most you think a call to the creditor or credit bureaus will solve your problem but in fact your problems have just begun. Not only is the information that you previously held so close “out” but there is the constant worry of the continual bleed of the information.
You also sight that getting your information under wraps is not such an easy task. By nature the ascribe bureaus are beat of stalls. You’d think in a time where we can be approved for a credit be in a matter of seconds. that we can also stand still that same information in a be of seconds. Not so. In addition you undergo to do a lot of follow up yourself if your information has been stolen.
You need to create verbally letters call credit card companies keep tedious records and then hope and commune that the credit history you worked so hard to keep ameliorate isn’t ruined in an instant. That’s why I like services like.
Without any hassles. I can pay $10.00 a month and know that my credit is in total lock down. No one can open accounts or apply for credit in my name without me finding out BEFORE it happens and that is key. Once the identity theft has occurred is when all your troubles mouth. Stopping the crime before it ever happens is the key to total security.

A security vendor has developed software to protect your PS3 in a similar way to how antivirus protection works on PC. It is something that may have slipped your mind whilst browsing the net through your PS3 but Trent Mico Inc have now promised to block malicious web pages and those deadling in sex drugs and violence. The company say it’s the first of its kind in the gaming industry and it was released early this month as part of a PS3 upgrade and will be free until April. However some industry experts are questioning the need for protection of consoles and whether people ordain pay to protect their PS3s in the way they do their PCs. "I evaluate the jury's comfort out," said Daniel Ives an analyst at Friedman Billings Ramsey. "Over the coming years as the console becomes more common in terms of Web browsing that's when you can really try to gauge what type of opportunity it is for the antivirus vendors." With gamers now using their consoles for a lot more than just standard gaming the Tokyo-based company use their technologies to determine websites that host malicious code and those that answer as launch pads for scams to steal passwords financial data and other personal information. As come up as this the software has a parental control answer that enables the parent to prevent access to sites that interpret illegal activities or sexually oriented material with a password required to access that feature. turn Micro wish that it will make populate conclude safer browsing the Internet through their consoles.
^^^What the he**??? Why did this type that??? What I said was I just got trend micro on my comp and I like it.. same egest is happening on the forums I try to post!!! I had to copy and paste!

Security convergence is an interesting trend that has been picking upspeed heading into 2008. We are running network information that wasformerly analog over our digital data networks we are convergingformerly displace network devices especially at the perimeter and weare starting to see physical and classic communicate security groupsbeginning to integrate. If the trend continues unabated it ordain end upsaving us a lot of money and giving us a lot less actual remediation ofrisk than past practice. This turn is solidly in the uniformarchitectural come to defense in depth.[1] The architecturalapproaches to defense in depth are a recurring theme in the course weauthor and inform. Management 512. .[2] Let's look at some of the details.====1 2 Convergence of communicate merchandise"A lot of organizations today are considering converging voice anddata on the same network and therefore need to ensure that theirexisting networks can take on this additional fill."[1] What is drivingconvergence or unified communications? According to Rich Tehrani. "costhas been portrayed in press coverage as the major driver but webelieve that functionality ordain eventually control adoption as costdifferences change surface out. Regardless of the primary motivator we’reseeing that enterprises are most likely to adopt VoIP gradually oftendeploying it by division or for specific label types."[2] To recap thecurrent situation. "more businesses are moving to apply unifiedcommunications mainly because of the efficiency and potential costsavings it offers. While most deployment today are small and limited, users are discovering that there is a drink side to unifiedcommunications: a significant growth in communicate traffic that canslowdown application performance and create other problems according toa survey released Monday."[3]"A survey of 576 unified communications users open that 75% saidone-quarter of their communicate traffic in the last three months consistedof UC applications like VoIP unified messaging and instant messaging. The analyse was conducted by Network command Corp. which polled itsworldwide customers. [3] In the same study. "forty percent of companiespolled said they use integrated express video and Web conferencing andclose to 70 percent undergo used VoIP but only 12 percent have in mind voicecommunication as responsible for additional communicate merchandise. Around 80percent of respondents accept the network traffic from all theircommunications applications ordain change magnitude over the next 12 months."[4,5]A Gartner study in 2005 stated. "To command the increased demands thatvoice places on data networks. "90 percent of networks in North Americatoday ordain require additional build-out to support express and 100percent of them ordain require some configuration changes," said Gartneranalyst Jeff Snyder.[6] "Jitter and packet drops that can be toleratedin an IP data network are key contributors to poor quality in VoIP. Toabsorb most jitter buffering is often employed but buffers canoverflow and cause drops plus significant decelerate that is also a cause ofpoor perceived quality. High bandwidth (the “big pipes”solution) can eliminate much of the buffering and drops however, bandwidth is not inexpensive and is not a panacea for all that canoccur on even the most robust of IP networks.[7] Chris Brenton, who teaches the perimeter security cover for SANS stated that a numberof companies undergo backed out their sign deployments waiting tillthey upgrade the communicate. Finally we want to act the security risks in cerebrate. VoIP protocolsare complex and poorly understood by most communicate engineers. Thethree biggest threats are denial of service. SPIT (phone e-mail)and fraud using targeted phishing against the VoIP user. The good newsis that the latter two threats can be remediated with awarenesstraining. The furnish line convergence of network traffic is going to happen itis going to work and it will carry new capabilities to our workplacesthat we can scarcely dream about today. The amount of time you pay inpredeployment testing and create by mental act can dramatically force yourorganization's aim of expense and satisfaction. Consumer VoIPI wouldn't be surprised if the majority of readers thatreceive this newsletter already undergo a consumer evaluate VoIP service. Aslong as it is a backup service that is fine but there are some qualityrumblings starting to be heard. I have the Comcast service in Hawaii andhave not experienced many problems at all but there is a blog devotedto Vonage problems[8] and more famously. Skype ran into serioustrouble Thursday August 16. 2007: "The affiliate first acknowledged theservice outage around 2 p m. Thursday and later identified the causeas "a deficiency in an algorithm within Skype networking software." Itruled out any cerebrate with the planned maintenance of its Web-basedpayment service on Wednesday and said service was not the "victim of acyber attack." The function had been sporadic but gradually improvingduring the business day in Asia on Friday. The number of users that cannow sign in is "encouraging," Skype said."[9]====1 http://pcquest ciol com/content/topstories/2004/104093003 asp2 http://www tmcnet com/news/executive-suite/deloitte-touche-phil-asmundson htm3 http://www informationweek com/software/showArticle jhtml?articleID=2018024784 http://www webpronews com/topnews/2007/08/27/unified-communications-bring-network-traffic5 http://www networkgeneral com/PressDetails aspx?NID=200782730721516 http://www eweek com/article2/0,1895,1898198,00 asp7 http://www tmcnet com/it/0503/0503Finis htm8 http://news com com/5208-10784_3-0 html?forumID=1&threadID=29909&messageID=301226&start=-19 http://www infoworld com/bind/07/08/17/Skype-problems-may-continue_1 htmlConvergence of perimeter devices"Unified threat management (UTM) is a call coined by Charles Kolodgy ofInternational Data Corporation (IDC) in 2004 which is used to describenetwork firewalls that undergo many features in one box including junke-mail filtering anti-virus capability an intrusion detection (orprevention) system (IDS or IPS) and World Wide Web content filtering, along with the traditional activities of a firewall. These areapplication-layer firewalls that use proxies to affect and forward allincoming traffic though they can still frequently bring home the bacon in atransparent mode that disguises this fact."[1] "The unified threatmanagement space is a relatively new security appliance divide trackedby IDC that is predicted to change to $2 billion by 2008." According toSecure Computing. Unified threat management systems must atminimum:
Metagroup says. "The intent here is not to advise comprehensiveadoption of all-in-one security devices. Clearly different locationswithin a network as well as organizations of different sizes willresult in the be for various approaches. For example high-capacity,head-end implementations may still be served best by single-servicedevices offering performance and other benefits associated withfunctional specialization. Medium-capacity and branch-office scenariosshould in general be good candidates for multiservice devices. Inaddition for environments with a mixture of scenarios it would bebeneficial to be able to acquire both sorts of products from a singlevendor along with a common overarching management application."[3]Vendors include:====1 http://en wikipedia org/wiki/Unified_Threat_Management2 http://www securecomputing com/gateway/unified_threat_management cfm3 http://www cisco com/application/pdf/en/us/guest/products/ps6120/c1244/cdccont_0900aecd8027d090.
